We mark with great regret the death of Anita Woods, a long-term supporter of Randell Cottage.
Anita served on the Randell Cottage Writers Trust for 15 years before retiring in 2021. She originally took on the role of secretary/treasurer and later served in the key role of liaison with the French Embassy for a number of years. Anita passed away on 23 August in Wellington at the age of 84.
Anita was born in Belgium in 1938 and was fluent in French, Italian and Dutch. She came to Wellington with her New Zealand husband, the late Rowland, in 1977 and worked at the Consulate of Ecuador, the Embassy of France and for eleven years at the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
