Randell Cottage Writers Trust congratulates the 2007 Writer in Residence Whiti Hereaka for the shortlisting of her first novel The Graphologist’s Apprentice (Huia) in the Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book (Asia-Pacific Region).  The Graphologist’s Apprentice was written while Whiti was resident in the cottage and was launched in July 2010 by Randell Trustee Mary McCallum.
